Shelby and Zeb

I met Shelby and Zeb last fall when they came in for a consultation to talk about their wedding flowers. They were a lot of fun and I really enjoyed our meeting. I was so excited when I got a text from Shelby a few weeks later saying she wanted me to do the flowers! Shelby knew exactly what she wanted and what she liked and that happened to be SUNFLOWERS! I love taking the Bride’s vision and ideas and bringing them to life!

Their wedding & reception took place at the beautiful 701 Whaley and was photographed by Clark Berry Photography.  The videography was done by Absolute Wedding Films and the lighting was done by Big Time Entertainment. The beautiful cake and cupcakes were made by Vicki at Vintage Bakery.

Shelby and Zeb are a special couple! I am happy to know them and thrilled that we got to be a part of their big day!

Take a look at some of the beautiful images that Clark and Becki captured!

Sarah and Corey

As they celebrate their 1st wedding anniversary, I wanted to tell you about Sarah and Corey’s wedding that was held on Saturday, September 17, 2011. The ceremony took place at Lexington United Methodist Church and the reception was  held at Palmetto Collegiate Institute.

I LOVED working with Sarah. She has great style and knew exactly what she wanted! She was so organized and provided me with lots of pictures and inspiration to work from! Her vision was “Fun, Casual, Antique, Garden Tea Party“.

For Sarah’s bouquet as well as the bridesmaids and flower girl bouquets,  we used ivory dahlias and roses, pink lisianthus, pink astilbe and veronica accented with seeded eucalyptus and lotus pods. The stems were wrapped in lace and placed in mason jars, provided by the Bride.

For the boutonnieres, we used lavender and rosemary and wrapped them with twine. They smelled wonderful! The corsages were made with ivory roses. For the reception we used the Bride’s collection of assorted vases and jars and filled with the same flowers as the bouquets as well as hydrangea, baby’s breath, queen anne’s lace and miniature pink roses.

We were honored to be a part of their special day! Word of mouth is our best advertising and we appreciate Sarah’s Mom referring another Bride to us! You can read about their wedding here – Kayla and James

Kayla and James

Kayla and James were married on Saturday, June 16, 2012 at Spring Valley Presbyterian Church and the reception was held at Capital City Club. It was a beautiful day and we were so glad to be part of their special day.
Janie met with Kayla and her Mom and enjoyed working with them throughout the planning process. After the initial consultation, Janie realized that she knew the groom’s parents, which made being a part of this wedding even more special! We were happy to also make the centerpieces, food table arrangement and favor table arrangement (see photos) for the rehearsal dinner the night before at City Art.
The wedding color scheme was dark purple and silver. Kayla chose shades of  purple for her bouquet. It included purple stock, lavender roses, purple carnations and purple alstroemeria. The 7 bridesmaids wore “Eggplant” (dark purple) colored dresses and carried bouquets of white flowers accented with purple ribbon.  For the church, we designed altar arrangements in shades of purple for the beautiful sanctuary and attached bows with greenery to the family pews.  The church Wedding Director, Laura was so nice and helpful. She was great to work with!
For the reception we made a head table centerpiece and several guest table centerpieces in shades of purple as well as a large arrangement for the entrance. We also added purple flowers to the gorgeous cake by Vintage Bakery.

Amanda and Jeff

In honor of Amanda and Jeff’s 1st wedding anniversary, we thought we would tell you about their wedding we did last year! April 2, 2011 was a beautiful spring day in Lexington, SC! The ceremony was held at Boiling Springs United Methodist Church and the Dogwoods outside the front of the church were in perfect bloom! Amanda chose Ivory hydrangeas and Sweetness roses for her bouquet and Sweetness and Ivory roses for her four Bridesmaids. The Sweetness rose variety is an ivory rose with a pink edge and it complimented the girls mauve colored dresses very nicely. Ivory roses were also used for the corsages and boutonnieres. All of the ceremony and reception flowers were made in their wedding colors of Ivory and Mauve. We used roses, hydrangea, lilies, snapdragons, waxflower filler and greenery. Their reception was held at Country Club of Lexington. We always enjoy working at this lovely venue! Clark Berry Photography took amazing pictures as always! We’ve included a few images on this post but if you want to see a few more images from their wedding, courtesy of Clark Berry Photography, click here: Amanda and Jeff . Their beautiful cake was done by Vicki at Vintage Bakery. We actually got to taste this delicious cake because Amanda’s Mom, Judy brought us a piece on the Monday after the wedding. How nice!! We also received a sweet email from Judy after the wedding – “Everything was beautiful! Thanks again for all your help and please don’t hesitate to use us as a reference for other business you will get in the future.” We were so pleased to be a part of their special day! We wish them a very happy 1st Anniversary and many more happy years together!
