Shannon and Brian

Shannon and Brian were married on Saturday, December 15, 2012. The ceremony took place at Trinity United Methodist Church and the reception was held at Riverbanks Botanical Gardens. I was thrilled to be a part of their “Winter Wonderland” themed wedding, complete with snow, crystals and branches! I have to say the centerpieces were a lot of fun to make!

We so enjoyed working with Melanie of By Invitation Only…Event Planning & Design and seeing everything come together for their special day! Take a look at some of the great images of the floral details by Clark Berry Photography!

Spinner’s Resort

Recently, I had the opportunity to meet with Theresa LeJohn, owner of Spinner’s Resort to check out their resort on beautiful Lake Murray. What a neat venue to have a wedding or event. The lakeside clubhouse is gorgeous and a great option and there is also a  private beach to have a  lakeside wedding as well.  Another great feature of this venue is that they have accommodations for you and your guests with the neat cottages they have on the property.  Check out their website for more information and contact information – Spinner’s Resort.

Once you book Spinner’s for your lakeside wedding, be sure to meet with us to discuss flowers for your special event!

Jessie and Will

Jessie and Will were married on Friday, September 21, 2012 at The Millstone at Adams Pond (what a neat venue)! Jessie and Will were so easy going and it was a pleasure to be their wedding florist!

Jessie carried a bouquet of all white flowers that included roses and hydrangeas. The bridesmaids wore gorgeous navy blue dresses and carried bouquets of yellow flowers that included roses, alstroemeria, lilies, craspedia and solidago.

Will wore a white rose boutonniere and the groomsmen’s boutonnieres were made with craspedia. We made corsages for the Mothers and Grandmothers with yellow roses. There were three adorable flower girls and they carried yellow kissing balls!

Red Apple Tree Photography did a fantastic job capturing their special day and I have included some of their awesome photos. Enjoy!

The 2013 Color of the Year goes to….

Pantone, “the worldwide standard for color communication and inspiration since 1963” has named “Emerald”  the color of the year for 2013. It is a lovely color and I am excited to see it used in upcoming weddings! There are so many color options for flowers that coordinate with Emerald. Orange, peach or yellow quickly come to mind but shades of pink would be really pretty too! All white would really stand out against Emerald colored dresses as well! Oh my, there are so many different directions you can go! Tell me, what do you think of the color Emerald? What color flowers would you pair with it?

Mandy and Nolan

Mandy and Nolan were married on Saturday, September 8, 2012 at Four ‘O Three North Lake, in Lexington, SC. Mandy was a pleasure to work with. She has such a great personality and is a lot of fun to be around! Even a big rainstorm on her wedding day couldn’t wipe the smile off her face!

For her bouquet she chose blue hydrangeas, orange lilies, iris and white roses. We wrapped lace from her dress around the stems for the finishing touch. The bridesmaids were Mandy’s two sisters and they carried  blue hydrangeas and orange lilies.

For the reception, we added a few flowers around the lanterns that Mandy provided for each guest table. We also added flowers to the cake and made a large arrangement for the food table in the wedding colors.

Corey Potter was their photographer and I’ve included  a few of the great photos he shared with us!

We were so happy to be a part of their wedding day! Best wishes to the happy couple!

Susan and Jonathan

Susan and Jonathan were married on Saturday, October 22, 2011. Hard to believe it’s already been a year! I so enjoyed working with Susan and her Mom, Carol.  They are such sweet people and after our first meeting I felt like I had known them a long time. I was thrilled to be a part of Susan and Jonathan’s special day!

The ceremony was held at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in West Columbia. This is one of my favorite churches In Lexington County as it is so pretty to look at as you are driving down Emmanuel Church Rd. It also has a beautiful altar area and I love that we get to make altar flowers there often for Sunday services! Susan chose all white for the ceremony flowers and we also attached bows to the pews.

The reception was held at Lexington County Municipal Center and catered by Rusty’s Catering.  Susan chose bright colors for the reception flowers. We made guest table centerpieces and a large buffet table centerpiece in oranges, yellows, purples and hot pinks.

Clark and Becki Berry photographed the big day and took amazing pictures, as always. James and Marianna Player of Absolute Wedding Films did the videography. They always do an awesome job too and I love watching their wedding films!

Happy 1st Anniversary, Susan and Jonathan!

Krista and Jason

I had the pleasure of being the florist for Krista and Jason’s wedding on August 18, 2012. The ceremony took place at West Columbia First Church of the Nazarene and the reception was held at the lovely Country Club of Lexington.

Krista and her mom Lynda were great to work with. Very easygoing and a lot of fun! They came in with lots of great ideas that incorporated unique and personal touches for Krista and Jason’s special day!

For Krista her 4 bridesmaids that wore black dresses, we made bouquets in shades of pink. They included garden roses, dahlias and gerbera daisies.  For the corsages and boutonnieres we used pink ranunculus.

For the ceremony decorations we made altar arrangements and also attached flowers to the candelabras using snapdragons, roses, lilies, hdyrangeas, gerbera daisies, dahlias and waxflower all in shades of pink.  Krista and Lynda fixed photo frames of both Krista and Jason as they were growing up and attached them to the pews all the way down the aisle. They were adorable and a great addition to the decorations. We added a gerbera daisy to each one and they really turned out cute! I also had the privilege of making an arrangement in a very special vase that has been used in their family weddings for many generations. What a neat tradition!

For the reception we made a vase arrangement for the foyer, a large arrangement for the food table and a centerpiece for each of the guest tables. Chain of Events added beautiful chair covers in the black and hot pink color scheme and they looked awesome!

Their wedding was photographed by the fabulous Liz of Zil Photography and she was kind enough to share some of the photos with me.

Their beautiful cake was made by Dianna Tornow of Aiken, SC.  We enjoyed meeting Dianna and her husband as they were setting up.

Congratulations Krista and Jason!! Thank you for letting me share in your special day!
