Krista and Jason

I had the pleasure of being the florist for Krista and Jason’s wedding on August 18, 2012. The ceremony took place at West Columbia First Church of the Nazarene and the reception was held at the lovely Country Club of Lexington.

Krista and her mom Lynda were great to work with. Very easygoing and a lot of fun! They came in with lots of great ideas that incorporated unique and personal touches for Krista and Jason’s special day!

For Krista her 4 bridesmaids that wore black dresses, we made bouquets in shades of pink. They included garden roses, dahlias and gerbera daisies.  For the corsages and boutonnieres we used pink ranunculus.

For the ceremony decorations we made altar arrangements and also attached flowers to the candelabras using snapdragons, roses, lilies, hdyrangeas, gerbera daisies, dahlias and waxflower all in shades of pink.  Krista and Lynda fixed photo frames of both Krista and Jason as they were growing up and attached them to the pews all the way down the aisle. They were adorable and a great addition to the decorations. We added a gerbera daisy to each one and they really turned out cute! I also had the privilege of making an arrangement in a very special vase that has been used in their family weddings for many generations. What a neat tradition!

For the reception we made a vase arrangement for the foyer, a large arrangement for the food table and a centerpiece for each of the guest tables. Chain of Events added beautiful chair covers in the black and hot pink color scheme and they looked awesome!

Their wedding was photographed by the fabulous Liz of Zil Photography and she was kind enough to share some of the photos with me.

Their beautiful cake was made by Dianna Tornow of Aiken, SC.  We enjoyed meeting Dianna and her husband as they were setting up.

Congratulations Krista and Jason!! Thank you for letting me share in your special day!

Blair and Britt

Blair and Britt were married on Saturday, September 18, 2010. As they celebrate their 2nd wedding anniversary I wanted to share some of the details of their special day! The ceremony took place at Red Bank United Methodist Church and the reception was held at Country Club of Lexington.

I so enjoyed working with Blair and her Mom Sheila throughout the planning process! What a treat to work with such nice people! For Blair’s bouquet she selected white hydrangea, white roses and white calla lilies. We wrapped  her bouquet stems with lace from her gorgeous dress! The ten bridesmaids wore “Expresso” (brown) dresses and carried mango callas lilies.

For the church, we used white flowers such as lilies, roses, hydrangea and calla lilies. We created “Entrance Wreaths” for the front doors, placed a garland on the guestbook table and a large arrangement for the table in the narthex. In the sanctuary, we designed the altar arrangements and flowers for the candelabras and clustered roses with satin ribbon to mark the pews.  We also added a vase of white roses in memory of loved ones.

For the reception, we used flowers in rich fall tones such as roses, mango calla lilies, mokara orchids, brown gerbera daisies and more. We created “Entrance Swags” and attached them to the front railings. Then in the foyer we added a vase of flowers as guests entered the reception. We also designed a large vase arrangement for the food table  as well as centerpieces for the guest tables. On the mantle at the country club, Blair’s gorgeous bridal portrait was displayed and we added a few vases of flowers to the mantle.

Clark Berry Photography did a wonderful job and captured beautiful shots and as always they were very kind to share several of them with us! I’ve included a few, to see more click here.

I was honored to be the florist for their wedding! Happy Anniversary, Blair and Britt!

Amanda and Jeff

In honor of Amanda and Jeff’s 1st wedding anniversary, we thought we would tell you about their wedding we did last year! April 2, 2011 was a beautiful spring day in Lexington, SC! The ceremony was held at Boiling Springs United Methodist Church and the Dogwoods outside the front of the church were in perfect bloom! Amanda chose Ivory hydrangeas and Sweetness roses for her bouquet and Sweetness and Ivory roses for her four Bridesmaids. The Sweetness rose variety is an ivory rose with a pink edge and it complimented the girls mauve colored dresses very nicely. Ivory roses were also used for the corsages and boutonnieres. All of the ceremony and reception flowers were made in their wedding colors of Ivory and Mauve. We used roses, hydrangea, lilies, snapdragons, waxflower filler and greenery. Their reception was held at Country Club of Lexington. We always enjoy working at this lovely venue! Clark Berry Photography took amazing pictures as always! We’ve included a few images on this post but if you want to see a few more images from their wedding, courtesy of Clark Berry Photography, click here: Amanda and Jeff . Their beautiful cake was done by Vicki at Vintage Bakery. We actually got to taste this delicious cake because Amanda’s Mom, Judy brought us a piece on the Monday after the wedding. How nice!! We also received a sweet email from Judy after the wedding – “Everything was beautiful! Thanks again for all your help and please don’t hesitate to use us as a reference for other business you will get in the future.” We were so pleased to be a part of their special day! We wish them a very happy 1st Anniversary and many more happy years together!
