In honor of Father’s Day, I thought I would share a couple photos from my wedding of my Dad and I. It is indeed a special moment when your Dad walks you down the aisle and gives you away. I realize that not everyone gets to experience that, so it makes me even more appreciative that I did. I had no idea how emotional I would be in that moment, but as soon as I heard “Here comes the Bride” and saw all of the guests, I couldn’t stop the tears! I was so very happy and excited to be getting married! But, I was also very thankful to have my Mom and Dad’s blessing and support, as I started this new chapter of my life!
Ashton and Rusty were married on Saturday, May 12th at Corley Mill House & Garden, a popular venue located in Lexington, SC. I have known the owner, Sheila for many years as I used to work for her when she owned a florist on Main St. in Lexington. Ashton met with Janie last fall to discuss the flowers for her special day and Janie really enjoyed working with her during the planning process. Ashton chose a beautiful, vibrant color scheme of hot pink, orange and green which worked really well with the bridesmaids “Watermelon” colored dresses. For the bouquets we used a combination of “Milano” hot pink roses, orange lilies, green hypericum berries and white waxflower for the bouquets. Ashton’s bouquet was wrapped with white satin ribbon and the Bridesmaids bouquets were wrapped with green satin ribbon. The two flower girls carried pretty baskets provided by Ashton and we filled them with hot pink rose petals. Roses and hypericum berries were used to make the corsages and boutonnieres. Ashton provided the mason jars and we filled them with hot pink roses and green hypericum berries for the aisle decorations (attached to shepherds hooks) as well as the guest tables centerpieces at the reception. Roses and greenery were also used to decorate the beautiful cake made by Adrienne at Tastee Creations. Shane Jackson Photography took some great photos that you can see here. We were so happy to be a part of Ashton and Rusty’s special day and to get this message from the bride today – “Thank you so much! The flowers were amazing by White House Florist! Yall did an excellent job and matched my colors perfectly! Thanks for everything! Yall certainly helped make my wedding day more beautiful than I could have imagined! ”
